Jumping Bean

Mason's new favorite thing to do it JUMP!!! He loves the jumparoo. Even with our slick hardwood floor he can really get to jumping!

Valentines is over...

This is the Valentines garland I made for our huge picture window! I need to take it down as we are getting to the end of Feb but I really like it. Guess I need to get busy on a St Patrick's Day one.


We had some apples that really needed to be eaten, so I found a recipe online for homemade baby applesauce, and so thats just what i did. I chopped up 6-8 apples, added 1 cup of water and 1 tsp of vanilla and cooked for 2.5 hours. Then I used my hand blender and made applesauce. Finished product below. :)


After making the apple sauce, I thought I might as well make the rest of the fruits too. I used canned fruits in 100% fruit juice and made peaches, and fruit cocktail. I mushed up bananas and had to add a bit of pear juice to as they were a little thick. Then I made up green beans too. I gave them to Mason that night and discovered they could have used a little bit longer being blended. There are still a few chucks in there, he isn't quite ready for chucks :)



Next on the agenda, homemade bitter biscuits! So easy, baby cereal, flour and juice! Bake at 350 for 30 min and you have baby cookies, as I call them!

Family Picture!

5 months!

5 months old, you weigh 16lbs and 8oz!!!!! You are eating like a pig now, 1/2 to a whole jar of baby food at a time! You have made it through all the veggies and almost all the fruits. So far you haven't refused anything :) You still take 4oz about every 3-3.5 hours. And you still aren't sleeping through the night. You are getting really good at sitting by yourself but we do still put pillows or the boppy around you. You started to roll over but only a few times, more from tummy to back, but a couple times back to belly! You are such a happy baby 99% of the time, Mommy and Daddy are so lucky!!!!

Mirror baby

Every time I change Mason's diaper, I always sit him up and let him look at himself in the mirror. He has really taken a liking to the cute baby in the mirror. Yes the video is shaky and yes at the end he did fall over and bump his head, didn't cry but 2 seconds :)

My mom wanted a new picture of the grandsons for a picture frame she has in the hose, this is what we came up with!
